Powder coating
Powder coating is an electrostatic process in which steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum are coated in any desired color and texture. Powder coating is widely applicable for both indoor and outdoor use.
The applied powder is heated together with the object in an oven to approximately 180°C, causing the coating to melt and cure, resulting in a scratch-resistant and impact-hard finish on the object. After cooling, the product is immediately ready for use, with no waiting time for curing as with wet paint.
The advantages are:
-
no use of solvents harmful to the environment
-
very neat and smooth finish
-
excellent edge coverage
-
faster processing time for multiple layers compared to wet painting
