During bead blasting, also known as glass bead blasting, fine glass beads are applied to a surface at high pressure using compressed air. This process removes surface deposits, without damaging the surface.
Bead blasting is typically performed on stainless steel, aluminium and occasionally on steel surfaces. This blasting method is preferred when a smooth surface profile is desired and the visual end result is of importance.
