Conservation

Powder coating is an electrostatic process whereby steel, galvanised steel or aluminium is coated in any desired colour.  Powder coating can be widely used, both indoors and outdoors.

The powder applied is heated in an oven, together with the product, to a temperature of approximately 180°C, which causes the coating to become fluid first and solidify after, resulting in a scratch-resistant and impact-resistant finishing layer on the product.

The advantages include:

• no solvents are used that may harm the environment
• very neat finishing
• very good coating on the sides
