Air-supported airless (airmix)
Airmix spraying is based on the same principle as airless spraying. The only difference is that this application method also uses compressed air, which is why this technique is also called air-supported spraying. Using this method, an airless paint gun applies the coating at a pressure of around 50 bar. For the application, some 1 - 1.5 bar compressed air is added to obtain a better spraying pattern.
The advantages include:
- neater finishing in case of thicker layers
- less loss of sprayed coating
- improved applicability in hard-to-reach places
